COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A judge ruled Tuesday morning the case against a father accused of killing his 2-month-old son will be headed to a grand jury.

During a preliminary hearing for 28-year-old Michael Wade Logan, Colbert County District Judge Chad Coker said there was enough evidence against Logan to send the case to a grand jury.

Logan is charged with capital murder for the infant’s death in August.

Preliminary autopsy results indicated the baby died from multiple traumas to the head and body.

Logan is being held without bond at the Colbert County Jail.
