No Respect for the Defending SEC Champs?

AUBURN, Ala. (WHNT) - Auburn is ranked near the top of the polls, but something seems to be missing three weeks into the 2014 season.

The Tigers (2-0) are ranked fifth in the national polls, but are the highest-ranked team in both polls to not receive a first-place vote. A week ago,all but one team in the top 7 received at least one first-place vote: Auburn.

"Nobody talked about us last year, either. That's fine with me," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. "Our goal is they're talking about us at the end and that's really the only thing on our mind. We don't get caught up in predictions, and this and all that. Our goal is to get better each week and our goal is to try to repeat as SEC champs."
