HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Two boys were hurt during an altercation Saturday afternoon at the Red Carpet Inn in Huntsville.

Two juvenile boys told investigators with Huntsville Police a man lured them into a vacant room and offered them alcohol. Once inside, they said the man threatened them with a box cutter, demanding their property.

The boys told police they both hit the man and left the Inn.

Investigators said the man had a different story on the altercation.

Reports show the man told investigators the boys attacked him first, and he used the box cutter to defend himself.

Investigators didn’t arrest either parties involved because of the conflicting stories and lack of witnesses.

The boys had minor cuts on their hands.

Police will continue to investigate.
