DECATUR CO., Tenn. (WTVF/WHNT) — The Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Monday night that the remains found Sunday in the woods of Decatur County belong to Holly Bobo.

Sunday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called to Decatur County after human remains were found in the woods. Officials said two people out looking for ginseng discovered a human skull Sunday morning.

DNA tests confirmed the remains belong to Bobo.

The Decatur County Sheriff called the finding of the remains “divine intervention.” The remains were found down a lightly used road just 10 miles away from a previous search site for Holly Bobo.

Bobo, a nursing student, was last seen the morning of April 13, 2011 at her family’s home in Darden. Bobo’s brother told authorities he saw a man in hunting clothes leading the 20-year-old into the woods around the family home.

Zach Adams  along with and 39-year-old Jason Autry are both charged with kidnapping and murder in the Bobo case.

Sunday’s discovery was made about 10 miles from Adams’ home.

The district attorney told reporters that he plans to seek the death penalty for both men.

Dental records will be the first thing they will do before DNA testing. There are several more ways such as medical records of prior injuries, broke bones etc.

How can you print that headline and then contradict yourself 3/4 of the way into the article? C’mon, WHNT !!

    • tia

Everyone know that law enforcement with do and say anything to get a confession out of an suspect even if they to lie and deserve if you want a confession from a suspect don’t put the skull 10 miles away from the crime scene because technically the skull was found 10 miles away from Zach house if you want someone to confess to a crime next time put it on the property . Since they having so hard of a time to match the DNA that’s was find on Zach Adams property maybe they need to use that lab to confirm the DNA testing we been waiting on every since last April.

  • tia

Because they was the quickest DNA match that came back quick everyone wants closer concerning Holly Bobo case but we don’t want someone to be faulsly accused for someone they didn’t do
and take a step back and make sure they doning the right thing

  • This case led you saying whats next

This case leave you saying what’s next but it’s amazing that Holly Bobo skull was found after all new people took office the TBI people could do in three years I know they tried everything they could still waiting on the Dna and even though the skull was not found on Zach land they still trying to find out how long Holly Bobo skull had been on the land before the men found it
