NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. (CNN/WPTV) - A 17-year-old caught a massive swordfish on Labor Day that could break a record.

Adam Sattar reeled in a 693-pounder about 30 miles off Jupiter. It was just his second time fishing for swordfish.

"Came up twice. All we saw was a big shadow," Adam said.  "Thought it might have been a big shark."

It took them four grueling hours to get the fish in the boat.  Adam and his dad are now filing the paperwork to see if it's a record.

They treated dozens of people on the dock to swordfish steaks, too.
