TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WHNT) - The debut of Blake Sims as a starter was a success, coach Nick Saban said. What that means for Week 2 remains to be seen.

The quarterback plan for Saturday's game with Florida Atlantic is still to be determined as of Monday afternoon, Saban said. Jacob Coker, who competed with Sims all preseason, played the final two snaps in the 33-23 win over West Virginia.

"I don't hesitate to say there's a quarterback competition and that in some way we'll probably try to play both quarterbacks in this game," Saban said. "I don't know how."
