Kraft recalls 7,691 cases Of American cheese singles

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Kraft Foods Group has announced a recall of 7,691 cases of single-slice American cheese that the company said could cause illness.

USA Today reported that a recall has been issued for select varieties of regular Kraft American Singles Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product.

A supplier did not store an ingredient at the correct temperature, according to Kraft. Some of the cheese could have spoiled and may cause illness.

The cheese was distributed across the country. The recall is for products with “Best When Used By” dates of Feb. 20, 2015, and Feb. 21, 2015.
