Sears employee injured during robbery

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A juvenile is in trouble tonight after police say he tried to steal merchandise at Madison Square Mall and hit a store employee Thursday night.

Just before 8 p.m., police say a juvenile tried to steal some jewelry from the Sears in Madison Square Mall. A Sears employee tried to stop the juvenile, but was struck in the head by the juvenile’s elbow.

The juvenile was held until police were able to arrive. They then arrested the juvenile and transported him to the Neaves-Davis Center.

Police did not report any serious injuries to the employee.

    The employee will probably be fired for allowing themselves to be assaulted by the juvenile thug….. Way to go Madison mall !! What a safe and pleasant shopping destination !!!! This place needs police on site 24/7
