HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)-   A Huntsville man was attacked inside an apartment during a burglary.  Police say a man was staying at his sister’s apartment on Lantern Walk while she is out of town.   He told officers that Friday he was sitting on his sister’s porch when a man walked by and said something to him he did not understand.

According to the police report, later in the night Friday as the man was sleeping, the man he’d seen earlier in the day kicked in the front door.   This time the man was with a second male.    The victim says the two men beat him but that he was able to fight them off.  The two then ran away.

Police are calling the incident an attempted burglary.  No arrests have been made.
