Update: A slow-moving storm sat over northern Morgan County and the city of Decatur Sunday afternoon and caused significant flash flooding and wind damage in spots. Click below to enlarge the animation.

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) - Chief Meteorologist Jason Simpson reports flooding in Decatur after heavy rain storms Sunday.

There were reports of flooding near homes by Oak Park Middle School.  There were several inches of water running over Country Club Road near Stratford Road in Decatur. Numerous roads were covered with water.

The radar estimates more than five inches of rain has accumulated in Decatur within an hour.

Most of the water cleared, no injuries were reported.
