BBB of North Alabama President & CEO Michele Mason departs after 23 years of service
NORTH ALABAMA – The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of North Alabama has announced the upcoming departure of President/CEO Michele Mason, who has accepted a position with BBB serving SE Florida and the Caribbean.
Mason will step down from her current role on October 10, 2014. Mason has been employed with BBB of North Alabama for 23 years, serving nearly 19 years in the role of President/CEO. During that time, BBB has seen tremendous growth in the number of requests for information and services as well as the support of area businesses.
During the past 12 months, BBB of North Alabama has served more than 620,000 website visitors, handled nearly 32,000 phone calls and has provided more than 515,000 Business Reviews on North Alabama companies.
“It has been a true honor to work with such a dedicated team and alongside a great community of businesses that are committed to strong ethical principles,” said Mason.
“Although it’s hard to leave North Alabama, it’s a great feeling to know that I am leaving behind a fiscally strong and vibrant organization that is positioned to rise to the next level of success and innovation,” she added.
A search committee has been formed to select her successor. We will update you when the selection has been made.
