FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) –   Parents think it’s a hassle and students forget about it all together. Filling out registration forms and school documents every school year can get tedious. But Florence City Schools are making the process easier for families. It`s eliminating paper and going virtual.
‘When you look at the a mounds of paper given it can overwhelming any parent, me included, at the beginning of the school year, Our parents will not have to experience this year, because they will not be bringing home paper,” said Superintendent Janet Womack
The school system started using Infosnap. It’s an online registration system that allows parents to register their kids at home. Once in the system, parents will just have to update any new information at the start of the school year.
This is just one way the school district is moving forward and trying to work smarter.
If you`re a parent who doesn`t have access to the internet, don’t panic. The school board office has Ipads for parents to use. Click here for more information.
