RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Police have arrested the man they believe was taking pictures up the dresses of female shoppers at Walmart.

Police say 41-year-old Javier Salgado is facing charges of criminal surveillance and harassment for two alleged incidents at this time.

Investigators said since his arrest, three more potential victims have come forward and they expect the number to rise.

Salgado is accused of not only taking pictures, but they believe he fondled a 10-year-old girl who came forward Thursday night.

Patrol officers recognized the description of the man witnesses gave Thursday and found Salgado just before midnight.

“If there are any more victims that may have not came forward yet, we would ask them to contact us so we can file appropriate charges against this individual. Because it is very disturbing that someone would do something like this,” stated Lt. Scotty Lowery.

Victims can contact the Russellville Police Department by calling them directly at 256-332-2230.

Javier Salgado is being held on numerous arrest warrants at the Franklin County Detention Center.
