Great price to attend which should be the model for many Downtown Huntsville Events if one really wants the crowds of residents & families to attend organized activities for ALL to enjoy.
$3 per person is a very reasonable attendance fee rather than the events here in Huntsville which costs Families over +$100 for bar-b-que & shrimp.

We were there and missed out on even a single ticket. Saw numerous people with multiple tickets…many tickets. Enough tickets that they were still getting food at 8:30 p.m. Overheard one woman to say, “guess we didn’t need all these tickets afterall.” We, along with many, many others were turned away, yet, at 8:30 p.m. there was still PLENTY of food leftover…none for us since we didn’t hold a “golden” ticket, but PLENTY for the police, security, and state park workers! (which came down from the lodge). Of course, after fighting the traffic being turned away we ate at the lodge which was extremely busy! We went back down to the venue, stayed until 9:15 when everyone was packing up their leftovers and leaving. Nice bonfire though. All in all, a wasted trip for that particular venue. Would have been nice to have known there was a predetermined amount of food tickets available. Also, would have been nice if a sign was placed at the entrance to notify people of “no more food tickets”. It would have cut down on unnecessary traffic. Great idea, poor follow through.

Very poor planning for this event. Wait and wait and wait and then no food tickets without warning. Terrible event as far as I’m concerned. I will never attempt to go to another one. Ever.
