MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - An argument ended with an SUV in the water and a search for one of the vehicle's two occupants.

Emergency crews responded to the dead end of Huntsmen Lane in Harvest around 11:00 p.m. Sunday after a report of an SUV going in to a pond.

Deputies say the driver and passenger of the SUV were arguing when the driver lost control of the vehicle and ended up in a pond.

The driver managed to get out and swim to safety.

Deputies have not yet located the passenger.

However, they do not expect to find him in the water.

Deputies would like to talk to the passenger.

The Morgan County Dive Rescue Team searched the pond for the SUV to make sure there was no one still in the vehicle.

A wrecker recovered the SUV from the water around 2:30 a.m.

It is not known if there will be any charges against the driver.
