COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. – The man convicted of the murder and dismemberment of Amanda Taylor has petitioned the court for relief from his conviction and sentence.

Ronald Weems was sentenced to life plus ten years in 2013 for Taylor’s murder.

In a letter sent to officials, Weems argues that the attorney appointed to him by the court for his appeal was late filing paperwork multiple times, never accepted his calls or responded to his letters, and never saw him to discuss the case.

He is asking the court for a new attorney and to rehear his appeal of his conviction.

This MURDERER has got to be kidding!!! He deserves the death penalty for what he did. Amanda Taylor was unfortunate enough to be where this demon and his associates were and they all participated. Weems needs to stay where he is and rot!
