HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Huntsville Police Department’s Communications Relations Officer is leaving his position this week, moving to Huntsville Utilities.

Harry Hobbs will serve as Public and Governmental Affairs Liaison with Huntsville Utilities.  He begins his new position July 14.

Hobbs worked as Communications Relations Officer for HPD for almost four years, after working as a high school teacher for Huntsville City Schools.

“I want to especially thank Chief Morris and the entire HPD for giving me such a great opportunity to represent this great organization to our community,” said Hobbs.

Hobbs has also been a strong advocate for Madison County’s youth, founding CAFY, or Community Awareness For Youth, a strategic initiative of the Huntsville Police Department designed to prepare the youth of Madison County for success as they venture into adulthood, enter the workforce or pursue higher education.

Hobbs will serve as director of this year’s event, which is Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Jaycees Building and Fairgrounds on Airport Road.

Well now you can take up your “woes” with the next guy. Obviously you don’t realize how it works when it comes to his type of job. He only gives out the information he is allowed to by law in order not to hinder an investigation. Do your homework, Keyboard warrior.
