Huntsville boy gets a big surprise from the Alabama Hammers

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- A Huntsville boy is getting the trip of a lifetime thanks to his favorite team and the Magic Moments Foundation.

Six-year-old James Pollard has severe Cerebral Palsy. He uses a wheelchair or a walker to get around. He also recently underwent a procedure that help him out a little more.

James loves the Alabama Hammers. He even checks out a calendar just to see when the next home game is scheduled.

Saturday at halftime James got the surprise of a lifetime from his favorite team and the Magic Moments Foundation. He found out he will be traveling to Orlando to visit Walt Disney World.

James' mother Mary Ellen says this event will be a big milestone for her son.

The Magic Moments Foundation assists children with life-threatening illnesses and their families to experience a "magic moment". For James, the announcement was a part of his magic moment as he loves the Hammers.
