HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Testimony began Tuesday in the trial of a former middle school teacher accused of sodomy.

DISCLAIMER: The details below are graphic in nature.

Brett Naff’s accuser took the stand. ┬áThe woman claims Naff made her perform oral sex and other acts in 2004, when she was a student at Country Day School, where he was teaching.

Naff was arrested in September 2012 and charged with first degree sodomy.

The state is expected to call more than a dozen witnesses, and Naff’s defense team also plans to call the same amount.

The trial is expected to last all week.

Country Day School is a private school that serves Pre-K through ninth grades.

  • My Opinion

I wish there was a blog or website that would tell the whole story. I looked at this school a few years ago (before this current charge) and another story about him popped up from early 2000’s. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire and it makes very sad for all the children who may have been affected by him.

There is a reason this story won’t die. Those who are standing behind the accused person are paving the way for more damage. There are many families who have been affected by what went on at that school but there are some now who are too blind to see the signs of continued wrongdoing. I hope the legal system does the right thing in this matter.
