SCOTTSBORO, Ala. (WHNT) — Scottsboro Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man.

“Last Wednesday, June the fourth we had a report that a white male from Scottsboro, Troy Jens, 51 years old was missing,” Lieutenant Scott Matthews says.

Lieutenant Matthews says Jens was last seen walking away from the Waterfront Grocery outside of Scottsboro along Highway 79.

“There was a search done by Jackson County, Marshall County rescue squads, with no luck,” Lieutenant Matthews says.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Office also took up its helicopter, with the same results.

Lieutenant Matthews says Jens has disappeared before, but says never for this long without contacting anyone.

“We’re getting worried now because you’re looking at five days out with no notification to anybody in his circle that he’s okay or where he might be,” Lieutenant Matthews says.

So investigators now need your help.

“Last seen wearing a t-shirt, khaki pants, a ball hat, walking alongside Highway 79 Wednesday afternoon,” Lieutenant Matthews says.

Lieutenant Matthews says if you know anything about this, to call Scottsboro Police at (256) 574-4468.
