Overturned 18-wheeler Blocked Traffic on I-65 Southbound in Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Interstate 65 southbound was blocked for several hours near Tanner, due to an 18-wheeler that turned on its side Thursday evening.

This happened just as the severe storm was moving through the area, with very high winds.

The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. near the Browns Ferry Road exit.  No word yet on injuries.

    Okay, on a straight stretch of highway? Did driver go to sleep, or did another vehicle driver cause the problem? Again, what is the problem with that stretch of I-65 between the TN river, and the TN state line?
