Huntsville Police: Cab Driver Robbed at Knife Point

HUNTSVILE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville police said a cab driver was robbed at knife point by two people early Sunday.

The victim was a driver for A Plus Cab. Police say the driver picked up two men near Springtime Boulevard and drove them near the 2200 block of Meadowbrook Drive.

Once they arrived at the address on Meadowbrook around 3:00 a.m., the victim told police the passengers robbed him for cash at knife point then left the area.

During the robbery, police said the victim was cut with the knife by one of the robbers. Investigators say a passerby saw the driver hurt around 6:30 a.m. and called police.

The victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital by HEMSI for minor cuts to his neck and arm.

Officers haven’t made any arrests in this case. They will continue to investigate.
