Madison, Ala - (WHNT) The 2nd annual "Beast of the Valley" competition at Crossfit Nomad in Madison was even bigger than the first. Organizers capped the number of athletes at 80 to keep things moving at a reasonable pace. The good news with all the extra interest was an increase in not only competition, but fundraising. Lee Thompson, President of the Huntsville, Madison County Auburn club says they raised more than $2,500 in scholarship money for local students attending Auburn. Obviously that's just a small portion of the money needed for tuition, but every little bit helps. Click on the video player above to see some of the action from Saturday's event.
