Huntsville, Ala. - (WHNT) There is a little extra incentive for some of the top athletes at this year's Cotton Row Run. Event organizers are offering an additional $5,000 for anyone who can break the course record of 29:10. If any runner can break this record, it means they figured out a way to dominate the Mountainwood hill.

"Mountainwood is the worst hill I've ever seen. I wouldn't park my car there," Mac Love said about the infamous stretch midway through the course. Love and many other runners are just hoping to make it up the hill, let alone run it.

If there is any silver lining in the difficulty of Mountainwood, it's the fact that you can't see it until you are on it. Brandon York says he has to look for anything to help make the mental aspect easier. "You turn left and you're not looking at it for a long time. So, you don't have along time to dread it."

No matter what your strategy, the race will go on Monday morning.
