Flat-Screens Televisions, Beds & Sofas: Holiday Inn Says Everything Must Go!

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Garage sales are somewhat of a weekend tradition.

It’s a chance to get a good deal on items someone is looking to unload but can still serve a purpose for others.

It just so happens that in this case, the seller is not a neighbor but a one of the biggest names in the hospitality industry.

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Huntsville is getting ready for what’s being called a giant garage sale.

Name the item you might find in a hotel room and it’s more than likely up for grabs this week as the hotel hopes to sell off all of its contents prior to the building’s demolition.

The sale will take place at the hotel located at 3810 University Drive in Huntsville.

It begins at 10:00 a.m. Thursday and will continue for the following 30 days.

Here are the hours the sale will be open and the items up for sale:

Garage Sale Hours:

  • Monday-Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12:00-5:00 p.m.


Items for Sale:

  • Flat-screen televisions
  • King & queen beds
  • Armoires
  • Three-drawer chests
  • Nightstand & writing tables
  • Mini-fridges
  • Hid-a-bed sofas
  • Artwork
  • Lamps, linens & bedspreads
  • Commercial laundry and kitchen equipment
  • Banquet furnishings
  • Bar & restaurant furnishings
  • Office, pool & patio furniture


The Holiday Inn Express and Suites has partnered with National Content Liquidators, Inc. to organize this so-called garage sale.

    It would be nice to see this company step up and donate these items to all the families in the area trying to rebuild their lives after the tornadoes a few weeks ago. So many of them are getting no help from an government assistance and could really use the help. Just a thought.

    This don’t matter if they want $100 for a 32″ tv when you can buy new for just a little more. So unless they are really cheap…I don’t see a piont.

    Gwen, that is an awesome idea. So many people lost everything they owned and donating to them would be a big help
