Disaster Recovery Center in Sardis City to Close May 24

SARDIS CITY, Ala. (WHNT) – The disaster recovery center that opened in Sardis City following the April 28th severe storms will close later this week.

If your home has damage from the storms, please make sure to visit the center by Saturday, May 24 at 6 p.m.  Any DeKalb County resident who sustained damages from the storms, tornadoes or flooding on April 28th and 29th will have until July 1st to register. But they will not have the convenience of speaking with someone face-to-face as they do while the disaster recovery center is open.

The center is located at Sardis City Hall, at 1335 Sardis Drive in Boaz.  Please visit the location or call FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or register online at fema.gov.
