Help Wanted: Updated Needs List for Limestone Tornado Victims

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Clements Baptist Church, which serves as a hub for tornado relief efforts in Limestone County, has issued an updated list of donations needed for victims. If you’re interested in helping, here’s the list:

URGENT FOOD NEEDS: Gatorade, peanut butter and jelly

OTHER FOOD NEEDS: Complete boxed meals, beanie weenies, canned tuna and chicken, paper plates, spaghetti sauce/noodles, pop tarts, peanut butter and jelly, canned fruit and fruit cups, saltine and ritz crackers, macaroni and cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, cereal, pudding and jello snacks.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS: Brooms, mops, garbage cans, towels, washrags, chapstick, saran/foil wrap, large plastic totes, heavy-duty yard rakes, battery-powered fans, batteries (mainly D size), disposable grills and pillows.

Clements Baptist Church is located at 8690 Highway 72 W. in Athens. Hours for drop-off and pick-up are Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. Wednesday offers extended hours until 7pm. The center will close on Thursday, July 3rd. No clothing, furniture toys or household items are being accepted at this location.
