Lady Chargers Top Seed in South 1 Region

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - After an impressive campaign that saw the team compile a 43-9 record, the University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team has been selected as the No. 1 seed for the upcoming NCAA Division II Softball South Regional as announced by the NCAA Division II Softball Committee on Monday morning.

The Chargers – who will be making the program's 12th straight NCAA tournament appearance – will serve as the host team for the NCAA South 1 Region and will welcome fourth-seeded Rollins, No. 5 seed North Alabama and No. 8 seed Tuskegee. Action will begin Friday at Charger Park on the UAH campus with Rollins and UNA squaring off prior to UAH facing Tuskegee.
