Kids to Love: Eddie

Eddie is well mannered, smart and has one very big wish. He wants a family.  Eddie is this week’s Kids to Love.

Eddie is a well-rounded kid. He’s 15 and in the 9th grade.

“I like math, I'm good in at Algebra.”  Eddie said.

Eddie likes to fish.

“Crappie and bass, it's what I like to catch. I just have fun eating it and enjoying cooking it and everything.” Eddie said.

Eddie loves sports; he loves to play basketball and baseball.

''I play pretty good actually, good at baseball, good at catching the ball, good at outfielder.”  Eddie said.

His all-time favorite player is Babe Ruth.

Babe Ruth grew up in an orphanage, someone Eddie can identify with..

“Do you know why we're here today?” Lee asked.

“To sign up for adoption” Eddie said.

“Is that something you’re interested in?” Lee asked.

“Yes mam, because I want to have a forever home, somebody to like me.” Eddie said.

Eddie’s been in foster care for 3 years, at 15.. he knows the clock is ticking..

“Finding a family that wanting to take care of me.” Eddie said

And in time… Eddie wants to take care of others.

“I want to be a police officer, study mathematics, study about the world to help people.” Eddie said.
