(WHNT) - Sparkman Middle School is home to the Cougars and CNN! Yes, you read that right.

A Sparkman Middle School teacher is using technology to make her classroom a place for learning and fun.

CNN, by the way, stands for Cougar News Network. It`s the schools daily broadcast, that airs every single morning.

This one teacher is in charge of it all. From a technology standpoint, Principal Ronnie Blair says he doesn`t know what his Sparkman kids would do, without technology teacher Jennifer Whitt.

We surprised Ms. Whitt with our WHNT News 19 Tools for Teachers award.

We learned that Ms. Whitt`s inspiration comes from a mentor and teacher who once taught at this very school.

“I just hope that the learn that no matter where they come from and what their background is, they can be successful and choose whatever they want to be, and not to ever let anyone tell them they can`t do something, because they can do whatever they want,” Whitt said.

These kids may be coming after our jobs one day!
