NWS: 7 Tornadoes Hit Tennessee Valley on April 28

TENNESSEE VALLEY (WHNT) – The National Weather Service has surveyed areas hit by the severe storms on Monday, and determined seven tornadoes swept through north Alabama and southern middle Tennessee.

The map included shows where the tornadoes hit.  Click on each link below to read more on the NWS’s findings on that location.

      That should be the Aroney one since it goes through south Dekalb, and that one tracked from heading west east, to a north east out across the border.

    Kudos, Channel 19! Excellent, accurate, weather coverage on the tornado in Aroney! There is no doubt in my mind that your coverage is what saved so many lives! We were ready even though our Dish had long gone out, my family were in our safe place watching your coverage via Ipad. This is proof that even though we feel at times that no one knows we are here, you do know we are here! Horton heard the Who! And yes….Horton saved the Who!

    Although it’s certainly in the area covered by WHNT-19, Aroney is on Sand Mountain, not in the Tennessee Valley.
