MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A man facing multiple sex charges appeared in court Wednesday, and Brian Lucas will now see his case go to a grand jury.

This was Lucas’ preliminary hearing, and a judge determined there was sufficient evidence for the case to move forward.

Lucas faces multiple sex charges in Madison County. In February, a judge ruled his release would present an “immediate public safety issue” after his second arrest.

Lucas’ identical twin brother, Aaron Lucas, pleaded guilty to similar charges, including sex abuse and enticing a child, in Colorado last year.

Charges were dropped against Aaron Lucas in Madison County as a part of his plea deal.
