Madison, Ala. - (WHNT) The deicison came down to three programs for Madison Academy running back Kerryon Johnson. Alabama, Auburn, and Florida State are the only schools to win a BCS National Championship over the last five seasons and they were also the only schools on Johnson's radar.

Over the last few years, the 6 foot 200 pound athlete was never shy about his love for the Seminoles. Johnson grew up a Florida State fan, but decided against a move to Tallahassee.

"It was weird at first with us being Florida State fans because you've always had that dream and all but at the end of the day when I told my family the decision it was, this is your choice," Johnson said Tuesday at his commitment ceremony.

Then came the decision not to attend Alabama. "it's still a great school, it's still a great coaching staff and like I've always said they know how to develop talent so it's no bash on Alabama at all. This was just the best decision for me."

When push comes to shove, that's the only thing that matters.
