Traffic Slow-Going on Hwy. 72 Near Providence Due to Wreck Between Tanker Truck, Minivan

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Traffic is moving slowly on Highway 72 approaching the Providence area of Huntsville due to a wreck involving a tanker truck and a minivan.

Highway 72 west is stalled all the way to the Target shopping center in Huntsville.  We understand police re-opened the inside westbound lane near Providence Main at 11 a.m.

Eastbound traffic coming from Madison approaching the wreck is slow as well.

The wreck happened about 10 a.m.  Two people in the minivan and the driver of the tanker truck were taken to Huntsville Hospital.  All are said to have minor injuries.
