Huntsville, Ala. - (WHNT) Before her senior year, Nadia Stewart transferred to Hazel Green to reunite with former Bob Jones basketball coach Tim Miller. The decision meant leaving her friends in Madison, which includes Merideth Lovelady who chose to stay a Lady Patriot. Friday however, Stewart and Lovelady made the decision to reunite in Tuscaloosa and sign to play basketball at Shelton State.

"It was just a plus that she was thinking of going there so when she committed I was like okay I might just commit because I will be there with my best friend," Stewart said after her signing ceremony.

30 minutes west of Hazel Green, Lovelady shared a similar opinion. "Just to be able to play college basketball with her is exciting because we already have that bond and chemistry already formed."

Their bond will now continue on and off the court as Lady Bucs at Shelton State.
