HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)--  About 50 people turned out for a community education forum hosted by County Commissioner Bob Harrison, but no one was more vocal about the current situation brewing in the Rocket City than Huntsville City Council member Richard Showers.

The meeting was held at the exact same time as the Huntsville City School Board Meeting Thursday evening. Showers was quick to point out his disapproval with the feud going on between several members of the African-American community and the school board.

"We need more voices, it is going to take more than just me and him (Bob Harrison)," Showers said.

Harrison said the goal of the panel forum was to answer questions and concerns from community residents about issues dealing with the Huntsville City Schools.
