Fayetteville, Tenn. (WHNT) - This week's Tools for Teachers recognition and $319 goes to Andi Birdsong, a Lincoln County High School teacher with a unique role that calls for a lot of adaptability.

Ms. Birdsong's teaching duties include everything from business to English to biology to computers and more. Basically, any student that needs a specialized curriculum to catch up on credits or take a class not offered in the normal catalog turns to Ms. Birdsong for his or her educational needs.

One Lincoln County student in particular, Aubrey Payne,  benefited so much from Birdsong's focused attention that she nominated her for this award.

If you know a worthy teacher, coach, principal, or aide, tell us about them through the Tools for Teachers nomination form.
