Responsible for the supervision of Medical Records Clerical Technicians, ensuring the filing, scanning, purging/destruction of medical records and pulling of charts for audit/research is maintained according to policy and procedure.

Performs quality checks on microfilm, maintains the Regional Doctor’s Database and measures productivity using ELI technology.

Monitors time and attendance for all Medical Record Clerical Technicians, assuring only a reasonable amount of overtime is used.

Works with I.T. personnel to flag or merge duplicate medical record numbers.



High School graduate or GED required.

RHIT, RHIT eligible, RHIA, RHIA- eligible preferred.



Minimum of two years medical record experience with one year supervisory experience.


Additional Skills/Abilities

  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to use computer, word processing and spreadsheet software, fax machine, and copy machine.
