HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville police are looking for the man they believed robbed a Waffle House.

It happened around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Waffle House on Shields Road. Authorities say a man armed with a silver revolver and with his face covered entered the restaurant and demanded money.

An officer on the scene said a Madison County Deputy was walking into the restaurant as the robber was leaving. They say the man ran off, and the deputy chased him.

Huntsville Police called in a K9 unit to search the area. They thought he was in a nearby field, but officers were not able to find him.

I believe that all the Waffle House’s have a clearly posted no firearms sign. Wonder why the suspect didn’t adhere to that. I’m a law abiding citizen I would have respected that, oh wait… that’s right criminals don’t obey the law, I forgot!
