DA’s Office to Seek Death Penalty for Man Charged with Chicamauga Trail Murders

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Madison County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that they will seek the death penalty for Stephen Marc Stone.

Stephen Marc Stone is accused of killing his 32-year-old wife Krista and their 7-year-old son Zachary in their home on Chicamauga Trail in south Huntsville in February, 2013. The Madison County Coroner said Krista Stone was strangled and Zachary Stone was strangled and drowned.

No trial date is currently set for Stone and he will have to undergo mental evaluations, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

    This is one mean man and sould be hung but in the men time they should run a video of his wife and son. He took there lives so why should he keep his.

    I believe he should be put to death and not just put in a cell and be feed and protected. Maybe if we made these rapist and murders suffer the same way their victims had to just one monster might think twice and save a life. What good is just locking them up and telling them they did something bad I same make them feel what they did to that person emotional and physical.

    death penalty is an ‘easy death’. life will be just fine. think of 23 hours locked up everyday! all you have is a 6 inch mattress and some stinkin’ blanket and some pig food.
