OXFORD, Miss. – Alabama lost to Ole Miss on Wednesday night, but that may not be the moment fans remember the most.  During one of the timeouts, Ole Miss had a huge surprise planned for a family in attendance.

Lt. Col. Christopher Davis is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and an Ole Miss grad.

His wife Lori, and sons Braxton and McKinley came onto the court for a special surprise.

Ole Miss arranged for a video from their dad to play, but they were a little upset when he said he wouldn’t be coming home this weekend as planned.

It turns out Lt. Col. Davis was waiting in one of the entry ways – and walked out on the court to surprise them and the crowd.

Welcome home Lt. Col Davis, and thank you for your service!  Thank you also to your family.

Ole Miss won the game 79-67.
