Grand Jury Indicts Decatur Woman for 2013 Rape of a Juvenile

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A Morgan County Grand Jury has indicted a Decatur woman for the 2012 rape of a 13-year-old.

Lauren Flowers Baker, 26, was indicted for Rape 2nd Degree and Sodomy 2nd Degree by the grand jury.

Decatur police say the received a report of a 13-year-old male juvenile being a victim of rape on Feb. 14, 2013.

The Decatur Police Departments Violent Crimes Unit, Morgan County DHR,  Morgan County Child Advocacy Center, and the Morgan County District Attorney’s Office conducted a joint investigation into the allegations.

The findings of that investigation were presented to the Morgan County Grand Jury on February 6, 2014 and warrants were issued for her arrest.

On February 21, 2014, Baker turned herself in to the Morgan County Jail on the active warrant.  Lauren was charged and booked into the Morgan County Jail on both charges and released after making the $20,000.00 bond.

Rape 2nd Degree and Sodomy 2nd Degree are both Class B Felonies.

    Whoa Nellie, seems we are only getting part of the story; kinda one-sided? Was the 13 y/o responsible for bragging about having sex with the teacher, and that be the reason she was arrested? Let’s go figure!

    The mom of the boy set her up.. the truth will come out eventually. I feel bad for the boy to have that woman as a mom. At least Lauren isnt fake.
