FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) -  'Muscle Shoals' the documentary is finally out on DVD. On Tuesday, music fans gathered at the Muscle Shoals Walmart to get an autographed copy of the documentary.

Rick Hall, David Hood, Jimmy Johnson and Spooner Oldham were present to meet with fans.

"They just did a very good job in integrating the whole area into the movie about Rick and the recording industry. This is the music of this area," said Shoals resident Ida hall.

She believes the movie is a hit because it reflects the Cinderella story of a Shoals local.

The documentary 'Muscle Shoals' shows the rise of FAME studio founder, Rick Hall, and the rich music scene in the Shoals during the 60`s and 70`s.

"The documentary has put the Shoals music business on the map. It has put us on the world map, not just the local map, not just the local TV stations but worldwide," said Rick Hall.

A worldwide success that is being embraced by an entire community.
