Jury: Conerly Guilty in 2011 Huntsville Murder

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A Madison County jury has found Joshua Conerly guilty of murder.

The foreperson read the verdict at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday.  Conerly will be sentenced March 21 at 10 a.m.

The family of the victim, Timothy Lanier, was present for the verdict.  Conerly’s family was not in court at the time.

Conerly is charged in the February 2011 shooting death of Lanier.  He was killed with a shotgun on Victory Lane in Huntsville.

Conerly was moved back to jail while the jury deliberated for about two hours.
