Vina School Teacher Resigns Before School Board Meeting

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - Vina High School teacher Brian Keeton, who stands accused of having sex with a student, handed in his resignation early Tuesday morning.

Superintendent Gary Williams said Keeton was on leave from Vina High school pending the results of an investigation into the allegations. Keeton contacted Williams this morning and handed in his resignation.

Williams presented the resignation to the school board during a school board meeting Tuesday night. The board accepted the resignation.

      Not Bob, but, he did not lose his job, he resigned . The AEA cut a deal, with the school board ,told him to resign, and he could keep his teaching certificate . he will surface in some other union school system. They always do.

        Actually, he resigned before he was fired. Even if he is convicted of a misdemeanor, he will lose his job. Your claim of cutting a deal is just your invention… Some of you make up your own lies and then believe them.

        Chris, the deal cut for him is not a lie! as a union worker you SHOULD know this. nothing will happen to him ,he will be teaching again in some other union school system, I have seen this happen before. Tenure is a union workers friend.
