HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A longtime physics professor at Alabama A&M University died on campus over the weekend.

Dr. Mostafa Dokhanian was found deceased in his office late Sunday morning.  Police investigated the death and determined Dokhanian died of natural causes.

Dr. Dokhanian had been employed at AAMU since October 1984.  His family has been notified, said Dr. Andrew Hugine, AAMU’s President.

Hugine said the University submitted a special request to the U.S. Consular in Dubai to expedite the family’s VISAs so they can come to the United States and take care of matters.
