EAST LIMESTONE, Ala. (WHNT) - Four people, two of them students, were hurt in a wreck involving a school bus and three vehicles on Friday morning.

It happened just before 9 a.m. on Highway 72 at Bluebird Way/Bledsoe Road in the East Limestone area.

Tom Sisk, Limestone County Superintendent, said the bus was stopped on Highway 72 westbound to pick up some students when a car hit the back end of the bus.  Two other vehicles then hit that car in a chain reaction.

Sisk said two students on the bus had minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital to be checked.  The other students were loaded onto another bus and taken on their way to East Limestone High School.

Two adults from the vehicles were taken to the hospital as well.  We understand one is pregnant.

Sisk said parents were immediately notified of the accident.

Traffic was blocked in the eastbound lanes for about an hour after the wreck.  It is now moving again.
