FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Florence/Lauderdale EMA issued an update about the water situation in the county Monday morning.

Things have improved in part of the county – the West Lauderdale Water Authority says its customers can resume normal water usage, and thanked them for their patience and understanding over the last few days.

Meanwhile, the East Lauderdale Water Authority and Town of Lexington are still asking its customers to conserve water by avoiding any unnecessary use.

Please check for leaks – if you find one, please turn water off at the meter. Also, please notify the East Lauderdale Water Authority at (256) 247-1606.
