Police say at least one man came into the store wearing a red hoodie, with a bandana over his face. They say he robbed the store at gunpoint, then left.

Lottie, Dottie and Everybody knows what the race is but the media does not want to offend a certain group of people.

Well, since you both know his race, why don’t you help catch him. Criminals come in every color, shape and size.

Update: There’s been an arrest in the case: https://whnt.com/2014/01/10/huntsville-police-make-robbery-arrests/

And to those who question why we didn’t list a description of the suspects, we will, when it’s specific enough to make a difference in finding the person.

‘Black male’ describes thousands of people in town. So does ‘white male’. So does ‘Hispanic male.’ Same for females. If we have more details, like clothing descriptions, or a tattoo, or something to distinguish the suspect, then we’ll certainly release the information.

So what you are saying WHNT is that you are afraid to point out which race the person is? I know that you monitor HPD radio frequencies and when they give out a B.O.L.O. (Be On Look Out) you also get that information. Law Enforcement Officers always give out all relevant information regarding a Robbery to include: Age, size, gender and race. They cannot afford to be politically correct. So I guess your argument is rather weak.
