ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Albertville Police have located Timothy Swords and say he is fine.

They say Swords had been staying with an acquaintance.

Albertville Police began looking for Swords when his  family said they hadn’t seen him since Thanksgiving.

Albertville Assistant Police Chief Jamie Smith says the man is 25-year-old Timothy James Swords. He says Swords has some mental disabilities. “That’s the primary concern, that and for his safety.”

Assistant Chief Smith says last week Swords was supposed to be picked up by his sister near a business in Albertville. He never came. “She made phone contact with the people he was staying with, and they said he got mad and left walking, and that was the last time he was seen,” Assistant Chief Smith says.

He says the department had reached out in all directions to make other agencies aware of the situation. “We’ve sent out be on the look out messages to all the surrounding agencies, and we’ve got him entered as a missing person,” Assistant Chief Smith says.
